Default Worrying trends?

also, is it wise for Nasa to collaborate with an Oil giant to help them
reach oil and gas in hard to get at regions? OK so the technology might help
them get the stuff out, but what happens if things go wrong, and should *we
really be doing it in any case rather than developing other ways to power
our civilisation, a more science based way to go.

You point out the BIG DOWNSIDE to ending the shuttle with no clear
replacement.

Organizations that are dis membered lose a vast wealth of operational
knowledge that may well apply to the new launcher assuming one finally
flies....

I have seen this sort of thing numerous times when companies move
divisions to lower cost parts of the country., they only take a few
higher priced old employees...

they tend to make obvious errors a experienced worker would of easily
spotted.

hopefully some old nasa hands will be hired for oversite on the new
vehicle
