Default U.S. is turning into a totalitarian state

Slowly but surely the U.S. is turning into a totalitarian state.
Polticians have had enough of the Internet where people can anonymously
expose their criminal behavior and they're now moving towards outright
censorship. Most Americans are too busy surviving after the economic
collapse and are therefore too distracted to notice.

The U.S. is now reserving the right to block any website or web service
ANYWHERE IN THE WORLD WITHOUT JUDICIAL OVERVIEW. It suddenly dawns on
people why the U.S. wasn't interested in ceding control of ICANN and
other major Internet institutions to the U.N, my guess is they have
been planning this for some time. You can bet your sweet ass that any
site which is critical of U.S. policy (like WikiLeaks) will be blocked.
And the bribing of U.S. Senators and Representatives by the media
industry will probably also result in The Pirate Bay and BitTorrent
being blocked for good measure.

It's sad to see what the U.S. is becoming. A nation that is cringing in
fear from terrorism and out of fear passing laws that make a mockery of
the Constitution. The U.S. has been mortally wounded on 9/11/2001. I
guess the terrorists have won...

99.9% of everything on this internet/Usenet is pure crap, mainstream
infomercials or disinformation anyway, so most will never know the
difference because they currently don't bother to look or much less
read as is.

Private investigative reporting and/or publishing via the internet or
this Google Groups / Usenet(newsgroups) will manage to survive in one
format or another.

Public schools and higher education going with internet textbooks
could become problematic without some degree of policing (blocking/
filtering outside interpretations or opinions). Most public funded
schools and many private schools use blocking and filtering tactics as
is.

Satellite internet and large area coverage by local wireless that can
cover 50+ mile radii and pump things up to 100 mb/sec is going to make
it next to impossible to moderate/filter out those undesirable
contributors. However, tracking down those bad guys and gals should
become easier, especially easier if they put a good bounty on
reporting there whereabouts.
