What is the matter with the BBC on their news home page today, they describe
the Soyuz as a shuttle and the launch site as a space station. I wonder if they have had too many funny substances? Brian -- Brian Gaff - Note:- In order to reduce spam, any email without 'Brian Gaff' in the display name may be lost. Blind user, so no pictures please! |

Brian It may be just a case of small news outlets picking up BBC stories, but Googling "Soyuz shuttle" turns up more occurrences than just that one story. I suppose that an operation that takes people there and brings people back is a sort of shuttle service - a "small s" shuttle service of course. |

Brian ![]() Well at least they correct their mistakes - even if without recognition of the error.. Go to the BBC now and you will find the story headed "Soyuz rocket lifts off in Kazakhstan" ....the "Soyuz shuttle" has disappeared very discretely indeed. |
