![]() The fact is, despite whatever disgusting allegations and assertions made by Martin Piers Nicholson about other people he has never yet described or explained why he used multiple separate identities like Hannah Varley, Ian Hill Smith, Eric Whiting, Johnhampton14, Carl Scottish and others to complain about USNO and the WDS in Washington on yahoo and at times on Google groups and when shown that he was posting as some of these people in some of his own yahoo groups, such as a narrow band filtering one, he deleted the evidence. You can still find today a message from Hannah Varley sent to declare a new open cluster group on yahoo with the same modem identity as the posts from the group owner Nicholson, via these links, though you will have to be quick because when actual evidence is used Martin tends to run around deleting the groups he created himself. Can't have ugly little facts spoiling things. http://groups.google.com/group/sci.a...n&dmode=source allegedly from HannahVfromDublin and which can be seen to be from IP 81.155.55.239 (which is in the UK NOT in Eire) and http://tech.groups.yahoo.com/group/o...ce=1&var=1&l=1 which can also be seen to be from IP 81.155.55.239, and both are yahoo web accounts, usable from anywhere, so he had no need to forward "her" notice of his If he deletes it just join Binary Stars Uncensored yahoo group, a group he hates and knocks regularly as it contains in its archives full details of him using up to half a dozen made up people who all complained that Martin Nicholson's tens of thousands of double stars weren't being published by USNO in the WDS. He then went on to knock usno, on sci.astro and sci.astro.amateur and elsewhere, at times having Ian Hill Smith agree with his views in these groups, from the same IP he used to complain.. If he wants to talk about mental health let him explain why he felt the need to send a hand written letter to a private address warning Greaves not to publish any southern common proper motion pairs from UCAC2 after Nicholson discovered that a formal professional journal scientific paper had been published on northern ones by Greaves. He soon afterwards emails the editors of MNRAS to complain Greaves' paper was all wrong, but had to retract his complaint when it turned out he got it all wrong because despite being a self confessed double star expert he didn't understand the catalogue data. Kelleher, Valev, Lulin, whomever, may be considered cranks, may be considered kooky, but at least they are honest. They do not run around accusing everyone of being mad when facts are shown against them, they just ignore it and make up even more rubbish. Nicholson personally attacks the character of everyone who displays the truth about him in the hope that what they are saying will be dismissed. Well, it is a fact that USNO staff, Arne Henden of AAVSO, Mike Simonsen of AAVSO, Roger Pickard of BAA and many others have seen the evidence of Nicholson attacking people in groups using different full identities... ...not different nicknames nor different email addresses, but full identities pretending to be several different people, often agreeing with himself and conversing with himself. They were presented with this evidence a long while ago and admitted it was real and accepted it was valid. Christopher Watons of yahoo group VSX Discussion about the AAVSO's VSX service even went as far as to delete all posts in that group's archive from Hannah Varley once it was demonstrated that "her" emails to that group were coming from Nicholson. Variable star amateur groups are **** scared of Nicholson and his ways of damning and attacking through blogs and usenet, but double star and deepsky section groups have never cared for or accepted his tens of thousands of "new" double stars or new deepsky objects. If you want to decide on someone's state of mental health always read this press release, written by, disseminated by and about Martin Nicholson http://stupendous.rit.edu/tass/maila.../msg00147.html Nicholson, the original anti-astronomer. |
