I don't know about a Tasco, but if you change it to a 4mm Meade, I see a
direct relationship between focal length and price! Price = focal length
times 10.

Uhhh .. of a 31 mm and a 4 mm?

Of a Nagler vs. Hygens (Tasco yet)?

Huh?

Hey Bryan,

In the case of the 31mm Nagler...you'll have to change your formula to
Price = focal length times 20, Not 10!

Okay, I'll bite. This is a joke, right? What's the punch line?

The Huygens has less lateral color, and you can fairly easily fabricate your
own G.

But you really shouldn't be comparing such different focal lengths.

How can you do that, you're not bald!

I'm the one who can legitimately charge that $550 for a bald face lie....

That Jan Owen, he's a non-bald faced liar.....

The Tasco Huygens has higher light transmission, and does not require a 10kg
counterweight. Clearly preferable.

No comparison! The Tasco telescope box *clearly* states that the
Huygens will provide 666x magnification. And, since super-high
magnification is *clearly* the point of owning a telescope, I know
what I'd pick!

And anyway, I couldn't even get the 31mm to work with my brand-new
department store Tasco. It was over twice as big as my *real*
eyepieces! I tried hammering on it to bend the tube in so it would
fit, but no luck. Now, I've learned that I'll have to try and find a
..965" to 2" adapter, whatever that is, and that sounds like a hassle.
