ASTRO: DSLR photography - Pelican_neb.jpg (0/1)
From Blue Knob, PA. 6 September 2007. Taken with an NP-101 at F/5.4.
One 20 minute exposure taken with a Hutech modified Canon 350D at 400ASA.

Not long ago I'd not thought such a shot possible with a digital camera. How things change! Stacking a few of those 20 minute shots would greatly eliminate the noise on such a faint object. Probably wouldn't hurt to try it again in the late fall when the temperatures are a lot colder. That should reduce the noise as well. Rick -- Correct domain name is arvig and it is net not com. Prefix is correct. Third character is a zero rather than a capital "Oh".
