Default short focal eyepieces

This is the first time I'm posting a massage in this NS. I love
astronomy by a long time, since I am a little child!!I discovered this
NS a few weeks ago. Now I have a question.
I have just purchased a short apo 80 mm Pentax 75 SDHF. I spent many
hours in internet reading test of this telescope...i love both
observing and photographing the sky. I have 40 mm konig ,22 mm ED,
15.5 mm Swarowski, and 8 mm LVW eyepieces; now i would a short focal
eyepiece. I am interested by Vixen 5 LVW (230 euro), Pentax 5 XW (350
euro) and Televue Radian 5 (330 euro).
omeone perhaps can help me in choosing the right eyepiece!!

You really need to try before you buy. That said, keep in mind that the
responses you get will mostly indicate the preferences of others. Can you
order all three and then return the ones you don't want? That would be the
second best alternative to looking for them at a star party.

Good luck,
Stephen Paul

of these I would try the Pentax and then the Radian, but I have deeper
question.
Why any short fl ep with this scope beyond the 8mm you already have? I
think
you are wasting money that could be saved toward another larger telescope?

You could simply get a good barlow instead? Thats just my personal bias.
But,
if you get the Pentax then I sense a larger scope is soon to come, which
is OK too!
Good luck -
Jerry

Thanks to all for the answers!
I already have a C8 and I usually use it for observing in my holiday
house in the mountain. I live in a city long way from this place and
for this reason I purchased a little but of good quality telescope. I
spent many hours seeing galaxies and others deep-sky objects and I use
observing at 120 magnification with my C8. With my Pentax 500 mm and 8
LVW i have only 63 magnification...and so I decided to search a new
eyepiece of short focal lenght with good AFO (60-70 degrees). After
having read in internet a lot of reports about eyepiece now I would
purchase a 3.5 mm or 5 mm....Nagler, Radian, Pentax XW or Vixen LVW
?????
