Einstein did not "get rid of" the fundamental medium. He just
showed it was not necessary to include it for *most* physics.

I think the key change of viewpoint was that the aether looked
the same regardless of what speed you were moving, distinguishing
it from any material.

So space is 'fullest' where uncertainty is at a maximum.
As in a cloud. Or an emotion, or the quantum/classical
transition. Wherever behavior is both like a particle
and wave at the same time.

All of our questions are answered by seeking out and
understanding uncertainty, not in finding 'certain' equations.

For example, in the stock market when chart behavior
approaches maximum uncertainty, the investors no longer
have any tangible facts to guide them. So the behavior
detaches from reality, and follows psychology instead.
At the system dynamic state of max uncertainty, universal
behavior takes over, and the system does what we
think it will do.

Universal behavior, and hence fundamental law, can

chaos and order. At the edge between quantum and
classical behavior, where both fields are needed simultaneously
to fully describe the system. The one place where
our classical determinism completely fails. The one
place where quantum methods completely fail.

If we seek out and understand uncertainty, truth can
be found, and the world can become what we make it.
