With what we have spent on the War in Iraq, we could have a fleet of 20
new
design shuttles.

The war's true cost is is about half a trillion.

That's true!
Think over the policy of your homeland!

How much do you cost a life at, and does it matter who's life it is?

Wars kill people.

Remember 9/11?

But I agree the method could have been less costly Violence only causes more
violence. Circle of hate needs to be broken.

For insurance companies, I believe it's pegged at around 0.5-1.0 million
Euro, and it probably only matters to them who it is if that person has
a life-insurance contract above that sum 8-).

It's not directly related, but you might want to investigate the concept
of the "value of a statistical life" - basically, the amount society is
generally willing to pay in return for one life's worth of death
reduction.

It's a very vague number, but an average figure in the US is around $5m,
generally over a range of about one to eight million IIRC.

As to if it matters whose life it is... hmm. I've seen a not
unreasonable estimate that on a planetary scale it roughly changes with
respect to GDP-capita, and that you end up with about $1.5m per capita
globally. This is a lot more disputable, though.

Note that this is *not* the value attributed to a specific life - that's
wildly variable dependent on all sorts of things. It's the kind of
amount society will pay for, oh, public-safety programs and things. (I
was introduced to the concept in a paper discussing the economic
benefits of asteroid-impact warning, which is a rather interesting
applicattion of it)

Producers: chris lord-alge and roger davies
Albums: what's love got to do with it (93), the collected recordings (94)
Grammy nominations: best pop vocal performance, female (93)
Best song specifically written for a motion picture (93)
lyrics T Turner

There's a pale moon in the sky
The kind you make your wishes on
Like the light in your eyes
The one I built my dreams upon
It's not there any longer
Something happened somewhere
And we both know why
But me, I'm getting stronger
We must stop pretending
I can't live this life

I don't care who's wrong or right
I don't realy wanna fight no more (too much talking babe)
Let's sleep on it tonight
I don't really wanna fight no more (this is time for letting go)

I hear a whisper in the air
It simply doesn't bother me
Can't you see that I don't care
Or are you you looking right through me
Seems to me that lately
You look at me the wrong way and I start to cry
Could it be that maybe
This crazy situation is the reason why

I don't care who's wrong or right
I don't reaaly wanna fight no more (too much talking babe)
Let's sleep on it tonight
I don't really wanna fight no more (tired of all these games)
But baby don't you know
That I don't wanna hurt no more (it's time, I'm walking babe)
Don't care now who's to blame
I don't really wanna fight no more (this is time for letting go)

Hanging on to the past
It only stands in our way
We had to grow for our love to last
But we just grew apart
No, I don't wanna hurt no more

But baby don't you know
No I don't wanna hurt no more (too much talking babe)
Don't care now who's to blame
I don't really wanna fight no more (tired of all these games)
I don't care who's wrong or right
I don't really wanna fight no more (it's time, I'm walking babe)
So let's sleep on it tonight
I don't really wanna fight no more (this is time for letting go)

Tina Turner Open Arms lyrics
Open Arms (4:03)

Ask me no questions
I'll tell you no lies
Come to me when you're down
I'll give you friendly advice
I'll be your avenue, your trusting ear
Release your deepest secrets
I'll be sincere

It's an age old situation
There's nothing to fear
Whatever life throws at you
Your friend is here
Right by your side

When love leaves you cold
Lies have been told
I will be there with my open arms
Hurting inside
Please don't hide the pain
I will be there with my open arms :
Open arms, open arms, open arms !

I know what you're saying
I´ve been there myself
Promises withstanding
They left me for someone else
Then the tables turned
A lesson I've had to learn
I can't put my fingers 'cause
Girls, my fingers have been burned

It's an age old situation
The message is clear
Whatever life throws at you
Your friend is here
Right by your side

When love leaves you cold
Lies have been told
I will be there with my open arms
Hurting inside
Please don't hide the pain
I will be there with my open arms :
Open arms, open arms, open arms !

- - - -

It's an age old situation
The message is clear
Whatever life throws at you
Your friend is here
Right by your side

When love leaves you cold
Lies have been told
I will be there with my open arms
Hurting inside
Please don't hide the pain
I will be there with my open arms :
Open arms, open arms, open arms !

When love leaves you cold
Lies have been told
I will be there with my open arms
Hurting inside
Please don't hide the pain
I will be there with my open arms :
Open arms, open arms, open arms !

Yes, I do, what's that have to do with the war in Iraq?

The two aren't connected in any way, not even in the
most remote manner. They just aren't related.

Last I looked, Osama Bin Laden is still on the loose,
we aren't even looking for him, and Al Qaida is stronger
than they were on 9/11.

I formed a small group of 1 called the true emphasis on a reasonable and
rational organization to reduce institutional spending (TERRORIST) also a
corporation called Intricare Paradisus Desiderare.. a blueprint ,patents,
copyrights technical procedures .procedural techniques exchange corporation.

The one tends to perpetuate technology the other tends to knock it down. So
speaking from a schizoid point of view I might be in error.

GOLDENEYE Lyrics
Artist: Tina Turner (Buy Tina Turner CDs)
Album: Wildest Dreams

(Bono, The Edge)
Producer: Nellee Hooper
Albums: Wildest Dreams (96), Goldeneye Soundtrack (95)

See reflections on the water
More than darkness in the depths
See him surface and never a shadow
On the wind I feel his breath

Goldeneye, I found his weakness
Goldeneye, he'll do what I please
Goldeneye, no time for sweetness
But a bitter kiss will bring him to his knees

You'll never know how I watched you from the shadows as a child
You'll never know how it feels to be the one who's left behind
You'll never know the days and the nights, the tears, the tears I've cried
But now my time has come and time, time is not on your side

See him move through smoke and mirrors
Feel his presence in the crowd
Other girls they gather around him
If I had him I wouldn't let him out

Goldeneye, not lace or leather
Golden chain take him to the spot
Goldeneye, I'll show him forever
It will take forever to see what I've got

You'll never know how I watched you from the shadows as a child
You'll never know how it feels to get so close and be denied
It's a gold and honey trap I've got for you tonight
Revenge is a kiss this time I won't miss
Now I've got you in my sight

With a goldeneye
Golden, goldeneye
With a goldeneye, goldeneye

Who ever said they're different groups?
Anyway, it brings to mind an old Dylan tune and what may be a more
"fitting" set of lyrics, or not, who really knows?

Come you masters of war
You that build all the guns
You that build the death planes
You that build the big bombs
You that hide behind walls
You that hide behind desks
I just want you to know
I can see through your masks

You that never done nothin'
But build to(and)destroy
You play with my world
Like it's your little toy
You put a gun in my hand
And you hide from my eyes
And you turn and run farther
When the fast bullets fly....
