Default Field de-rotater

Is there anybody knowing if Meade or other manufacturers are going to
improve the existing Meade Field de-rotater?
The main problem with this piece of equipment is that it prevents the scope
from reaching objects located at +-50 degrees above the horizon, limiting
enormously the CCD imaging activity.

Thanks in advance
