Default is there a newer STSPlus version or similar?

Can someone known if there are an updated version of STSPlus
(www.dransom.com/stsplus.html) or a similar shuttle and satellite
launch simulator?

Thanks!
Randall Flagg.

Does anyone know what happened to the guy that was writing STSPlus? It's
still better than any other program like it, but the guy writing it has
disappeared. Thanks,

David

No he hasn't. His site is still up and someone's paying the hosting
bill.

It just hasn't been updated in years (although he tweaked it so much
over the years I don't know how much updating it needs). Too bad
there's nothing quite like it for OS X. I liked that STSPlus let you
track multiple satellites and set one as the "target" to allow you to
monitor a rendezvous -- giving you distance between the two and closing
rate, etc. MacDoppler won't do that so far as I can tell, and neither
will Starry Night 5 Pro, although both do highly-accurate satellite
tracking otherwise.

Yeah, there's just something about it that no other programs I've seen
have captured yet. It really doesn't need much more in the way of
features. I'm not sure what it is that makes it so nice, but I sure wish
there were a new version that used high res rather than VGA graphics and
was a bit modernised. Thanks,

David
