Default Celestron C9 Question FL

Hi group.

Celestron C9.25 OTA
I see these listed by retailers as f/10 and others as f/11----are there
different models? Company 7 shows it as f/10 and Anacorte lists as f/11. I
see different retailers sell it with different "accessories" too---I want to
buy just the OTA, aluminum tube, XLT. I really like that Company 7 will
check the optics and collimate prior to shipping. Wish other sellers would
do that...but back to the original question....why different specs?

Does Company 7 really check out the scope, and how good of a check-out is
it? I would be suspicious.

Doink,

My understanding is that the C14 is the only Celestron SCT at f/11.
Where is that guy Rod?

Anthony.

I've bought from them before and they actually perform a thorough test. And
they collimate very precisely. I didn't believe it either until I dealt
with them. Highly recommend them for new purchases.

That is good to know. Does Anacortie or other dealers do the same thing?

I've only seen 2350mm focal length versions. 9.25 inches = 234.95mm, so if
there is an f/11 version it would have a focal length of about 2584mm.

Perhaps some dealers can't do simple arithmetic?

Did you look at the links in my posts above? Anacorte seems to offer both
versions...
