If 20% of SETI users on BIONIC went in to 'suspend project' mode for 1-3 months, could the credits catch up?

If 20% of SETI users on BIONIC went in to 'suspend project' mode for 1-3
months, could the credits catch up?

Just moving over to 1 ... 3 Climate Prediction work unit(s) would probably
allow enough spare time for all of the back end stuff to be done.

Maybe people suspending themselves from the project is what is needed at
this point to allow for the upcoming database migration [and the proper
granting of credits] to be accomplished.

SETI @ HOME as it is currently designed finds so much 'negadata' that
perhaps fewer people need to partisipate.
SETI's alogrythms other uses have not tested either.

That is a thought but it wouldn't be much fun though. Yeah, I should
probably just turn off the o'l puter I guess.

I see what you're doing. Get everybody to stop crunching so yous can suck up
on all the available work units. Yeah, I got your number buddy. It ain't
gonna work.

No! Just the opposite --- there is so much "nega-data" that even _more_
people need to participate inorder to find ET quicker ... fewer people,
then forget it, it will take forever! ... we need more people running
seti@home ... (of course with set@home getting a pittance (sp?) for
funding and resources then with more people nothing would work anyway
.... Rats! Seems hopeless doesn't?)

Just hang in there, be patient ...

SETI's alogrythms other uses have not tested either.

Yes, ...
