rem547 Gamma ray detectors have been around for about 35 years. They
were put in orbit to detect nuclear tests. In the 1990s this was a vert hot astrophysics topic. These gamma bursts came in all directions, but not from our galaxy. Interesting that the 10 meter Keck II telescope was able to obtain an optical spectrum. The source of the burst was 7 billion LY away. My thinking is this is probably the greatest distance a spectrum(Doppler shifts was ever used. The theory is this great energy may originate from collisions between binary neutron stars. I'm sure other thoughts came to mind like "Quasars" Blackholes in the center of galaxies. The 1999 gamma burst was the biggest for its outburst of energy was greater for a second than all the energy of the universe maybe that burst rem547 could give your matter anti-matter theory a boost.
