must have just missed Santa.....
Definitely have the twinkling multi-colored blinky lights in this one.... the 400mm lens has a bit of star bloat. I think a UV cut filter will take care of that I shot this on Christmas Eve from the Ranch out near Hornitos/Mariposa California in the Sierra Gold Country. http://www.narrowbandimaging.com/m33...c_rgb_page.htm it is 3 hours 25 minutes total exposure. I used a Pentax 400mm f/4 camera lens. This was first light for it. It is made for the 6x7 camera and it is HUGE and very heavy. I had to re-engineer my lens support mechanism for a third time to handle this beast and I still have a bit more work to do to completely stablize it irrespective of the sky angle where it is aimed, |
