Default Cocoa Beach Holiday Inn

Hey group,
I just returned from Disneyworld and my family and I had a great time.
The DiGennaro clan loved Mission:Space. We didn't get to KSC this time
but we are going next fall. I'd like to stay on the beach at the
Holiday Inn. I stayed there in 1973 when I was boy. Little did I know
then that was the place ( like Pancho's at Muroc ) where history was
made. Is it still there?

Thanks

Thanks for the info. Are there any other places of interest that are
still around from the early days? I understand Fat Boy's BBQ has since
been turned into an Indian restuarant and Wolfie's Deli ( home of the
infamous corned beef sandwich ) has long since disappeared.

Well tell me what to look for and I'll keep my eyes open next time I'm just
out cruising. Where was Wolfie's Deli?

Default Cocoa Beach Competely OT question

With all the retro stuff I wonder why someone hasnt bought the rights to the
name WT Grant, Woolworth Gimbels or other store and relaunched it?

I would think lots of nostalgia might get shoppers to return if promised the
old core values.

I know its a wierd idea but hey thats me

it was located in the ramada inn. that property now belongs to
the hojo's. across the street from hojo's (A1A) is the cape colony. i
believe that all of the first 7 owned it at one time.
