Do you still not grasp that a book published a century ago is likely
not to contain the most up-to-date information?

But of course-
Here are the most recent facts concerning Thebes:

(1) It was not in Mesopotamia; It was in Boeotia. (c.f. supra)

(2) It was utterly destroyed by Alexander the Great
in 335 B.C.

(3) Most of the inhabitants were killed.

(4) They're still dead.

You are a trolling pismire and as Mozart once remarked,
"I have no desire to duel with dwarves."

If you don't even know that Greek astronomy is based in Mesopotamian
astronomy -- Allen certainly knew that much -- why are you even asking
these questions?

None of the three of whom I've heard of is a specialist, and none of
them is competent in Akkadian or Arabic.

How should I know?? They're the authors of standard works on
Mesopotamian astronomy.-
