heh, uh, OK, I'll play.
Here's the deal Ed, if you wish to prove that evolution is wrong you have
one of two choices.

First of all, take the scientific definition of evolution (not the cartoon
definition that the creationist nitwits have attached to it, the REAL
definition) and simply disprove it.
Here's a clue - it has nothing to do with coal, and lots to do with
something called genes.

Failing that (and you will fail that) just disprove the central dogma of
biology -
that DNA ->RNA->Protein.

Before you set about on either endeavor, try to understand that the fact
that gene frequencies change and that DNA becomes RNA becomes Protein, are
as well known as it is possible to know something.
If that doesn't fit in with your Iron Aged revised Bronze Age mythology, the
problem is with you, not science. And realize that while you sit with your
head buried in pre-Enlightenment sand, people are using what we know about
evolution to change life in ways that ought to frighten you.

It's the 21st Century d00d, join us!

Thank you for introducing some humour to the newsgroup - it's been taken far
too seriously lately!

Well, of course, there's nothing "new" about this "evidence." You've
been posting it for years.

Here's just one article that refutes it:

http://groups.google.com/groups?selm=35fa3772.0306111624.39df8505%40posting .google.com&output=gplain

This article was written by me and, Ed, I'm the LEAST qualified to
refute you from the scientific standpoint.

Now, Ed, here's the most recent challenge from which you have been
running:

http://groups.google.com/groups?selm=35fa3772.0306250135.409c9c56%40posting .google.com&output=gplain

I also sweetened the pot and offered to pay full costs of a polygraph
and, if any of the experts agree that any of your specimens are
genuine - even ONE of them - I said I'd get you that special on Fox.

If you were really that confident in your claims, you'd jump at this
chance.

So why are you running from it?

I find that my head is where I and my head enjoy the surroundings.

That aside I agree with you [I am frightened but only personally for
when I die the world ends], even though the only real "knowledge"
I possess regarding any connections between evolution and today's
biotech, benetech, and AItech is my imagination. However, my
imagination is a very comforting and wise friend.

Mind you there are many who wish me and my imagination would
move to Iraq. I should I would probably find some sort of
"employment".

Actually, I can see why someone would want to get rid of the theory of
evolution. It is premised on the idea that the universe is
essentially meaningless, that everything occured randomly. Why would
anyone want to uphold
an idea like that?

I'm reminded also of those people who used to applaud Robert Ingersoll
for telling them that they had no souls. Is that such a comforting
thought that it deserves enthusiasm? I think not.

Evolution is aesthetically an ugly idea. If I were a scientist I'd be
out there making my pitch for intelligent design. Intelligence trumps
non-intelligence every time.

um, no it is not.

Maybe, if you know nothing about biology.

Well, there you go.

Well ... It's all relative. Think about it like this:

Evolution v Creation ... Or, if you prefer, Reality v Fairy Tales.
Fairy Tales win hands down on the "aesthetic[ally]" side.
I mean, Noah's Ark and Goldilocks and the Three Bears are
much cooler than Flood and Famine.

So that's where those spelunckers who went missing circa 1700
wound up? For years it was thought that they encountered bears,
wild women or Satan.
