United States Senator Kay Bailey Hutchison and NASA Johnson Space Center
Director Mike Coats will be available to media at 10:45 a.m. CST Wednesday,
Dec. 7.

Sen. Hutchison, Chairman of the Senate Commerce Subcommittee on Science and
Space, will be visiting JSC to hear a briefing on the center's status and
welcome Coats as the new center director. The media availability will take
place at the conclusion of their meeting and be held in the JSC Public
Affairs Office press briefing room. They will be available only to media
present at the center. The event will not be broadcast on NASA Television.

Media planning to attend should contact the JSC newsroom at (281) 483-5111
by 5 p.m. CST Tuesday, Dec. 6, to arrange credentials.
