D.C. AREA MEDIA INVITED TO SEE MICRO SATELLITES BEFORE THEY LAUNCH

Engineers and researchers in the Space Technology 5 (ST5) Project office at
NASA's Goddard Space Flight Center in Greenbelt, Md., are putting the
finishing touches on three very small satellites that are out to prove that
big science and engineering results can come in much smaller packaging.

News representatives are invited to a Goddard media day event to see and
learn about how the ST5 team shrunk a bus size satellite down to the size of
a 13 inch Television. The ST5 Project is an instrumental part of NASA's New
Millennium Program which was created to develop and validate in space
critical and revolutionary technologies needed to enable future science
missions in space.

WHAT: ST5 project media day at NASA's Goddard Space Flight Center,
Greenbelt, Md. Photo, video and interview opportunities with ST5 scientists
and engineers. Media will have the opportunity to see these spacecraft in
testing and checkout facilities, as well as learn about NASA's television
programming, Internet resources and briefings that will be available during
the mission.

WHEN: Monday, November 28, 2005 at 10 a.m. EST

WHO: Various researchers and engineers associated with NASA's ST 5 Project.

WHERE: Meet at Goddard Visitor Center, Explorer Drive (near intersection of
Greenbelt and Soil Conservation Roads), Greenbelt, Md. 20771

Reporters planning to attend the event should confirm their participation
before close of business on Friday, November 25 by contacting either contact
Lynn Chandler at (301) 286-2806 or Rani Chohan at (301) 286-2483. They will
provide attendees with details for getting accreditation and access to the
Goddard campus.
