NASA ANNOUNCES DIGITAL TV SERVICE FOR ALASKA & HAWAII

The satellite signal carrying NASA TV to viewers in Alaska and Hawaii
will convert from analog to digital at 12:01 a.m. EDT, October 1. The change
completes NASA TV digital conversion begun July 1, 2005.

Beginning October 1, NASA TV will be available in Alaska and Hawaii on an
MPEG-2 digital signal accessed via satellite AMC-7, transponder 18C, 137
degrees west longitude, 4060 MHz, vertical polarization. Through September
30, NASA TV is available in Alaska and Hawaii in analog on AMC-7, at 137
degrees west longitude, transponder 18C, at 4060 MHz, horizontal
polarization.

For continental North America, NASA TV is carried on an MPEG-2 digital
signal accessed via satellite AMC-6, at 72 degrees west longitude,
transponder 17C, 4040 MHz, vertical polarization. A Digital Video Broadcast
compliant Integrated Receiver Decoder is required for reception.
