Interesting as always, thanks.

The Manned Space Telescope discussed in
http://ntrs.nasa.gov/archive/nasa/casi.ntrs.nasa.gov/19660017399_1966017399.pdf
is quite similar in configuration to the KH-10/DORIAN manned
spysat, though bigger. It would be interesting to see if there
was any actual design influence in one direction or the other.

Here we go again ...

You know you are ruining my life, aren't you? I need an estimated 80+
years to read all the documents I've downloaded so far. Each of your
postings is adding more and more years to that figure! Realizing that I
won't live to read it all makes me really depressed. ;-)

Thanks for every page, Rusty!

Hans-J.

ps: If I find the time I'll post a list of the documents that might be
of the more interesting kind.

Y'know, one thing that strikes me about the mid-sixties reports is
that, reading the titles and leaving aside the ones that have
material explicitly dating them, you would think that many would
have been written now, or some time future-ward of now.

They didn't lack in ambition, did they? Didn't Henry Spencer mention
something about the early 60's being the time when it seemed that
anything that a aerospace engineer could come up with seemed to be doable?

I guess you can't be too careful when it comes to doing your space math,
can you?
They should have had more things like these when they were working out
that trajectory for the Mars Polar Orbiter... ;-)

But it turned out that all their plans somehow involved dating Ann-Margaret.

....Your mixing your Henrys. That was Kissinger whose plans involved
dating Ann-Margrock, but somehow he got Jill St. John instead.

Uh-la-la! Stereo Redheads...yummy!
(Taking the two Pamela Anderson dolls and the G. I. Joe doll, Pat began
to figure out the sexual positions that would be possible if he could
get both Ann and Jill in the sack at once...there were many of them
indeed....then, to make things more accurate, he replaced the G.I. Joe
doll with a Jabba The Hut action figure...now only a few positions were
possible that did not appear to be potentially fatal to the Twin Titian
Temptresses....and most of those involved Jabba in a spectator role....)
