NGC 877 is the largest of the countless galaxies in this field in Aries.
Either seeing wasn't good or the corrector plate of my C8 dewed in, so stars
look a bit blurry. With sharper stars it would be easier to distinguish them
from the small galaxies. Especially the lower left corner of the image seems
to be full of small fuzzies.

Taken from the middle of Berlin with a C8 at f/7 on a G11 mount, SXV-H9
camera, 54x5 minutes.

I saw this field years ago in a 30" Dob. I'd forgotten the main galaxy,
just that it was in Aries. We saw most of the larger ones and since we
could scan around, quite a few more besides. I wanted to try it in the
14" but couldn't recall the center galaxy. This shot brought it all
back to me. Now if it will stop snowing...

Correct domain name is arvig and it is net not com. Prefix is correct.
Third character is a zero rather than a capital "Oh".

That is a great FOV. Those faint guys look like a real challenge.

Stefan,

The notes on NED suggest that this is a group because of similar red
shifts.

That's "good seeing" where I live.........
