ASTRO: NGC 7009 (Saturn nebula)
Back online after moving to a new flat it’s time for a new picture.
And, no, I did not move to the countryside, but inside of Berlin. But I have an unobstructed southern horizon now, where I could only image down to about +10 degrees declination from my old flat. But this picture of the Saturn nebula obviously is from Namibia and not Berlin. Being a bright object it was a nice nebula to image between more “serious” objects. Image scale is 0,46”/pixel. Taken from Kiripotib farm with a 10” Meade ACF at 2050mm focal length, MK100 mount, Trius SX694 camera, 3x2min each RGB. Stefan |

I was going to say that came out awfully well for your latitude even with the better southern horizon. Looking forward to the first light from the new flat. Beside the better southern horizon how's the light pollution situation compared to the old location?
