ASTRO: NGC 6217

NGC 6217 is also Arp 185, so Rick should have imaged it unless it was blocked by his polaris trees. Certainly a highlight among the deep sky objects in UMi. To the left is UGC 10509.
I needed four of our short summer nights to gather seven hours of exposure time.

Taken from the middle of Berlin with a Skywatcher Esprit 150ED at f/7 on a G11 mount, SXpress Trius SX694 camera, 37x5m lum, 17x5m RGB each.
