ASTRO: FS128F Curvature & Flat-Field Map Question - 1 attachment
ASTRO: FS128F Curvature & Flat-Field Map Question
.. ....The only comparision i can make is a Televue Pronto which had/has 33% Curvature, and is bloody obvious in the images.. My Question with approx 12% curvature would i gain that much by using a Flattener, Thanks... .. |

A flattener tends to slightly harm center stars while improving the corners. With a small difference between the two I'd not hurt the center for minor edge improvement. Also any added elements are just another source of reflections. Rick -- Correct domain name is arvig and it is net not com. Prefix is correct. Third character is a zero rather than a capital "Oh". |

Northern Minnesota (47+ north) in a very low population area. 31 of voting age (not all registered) in my township (36 square miles. Mostly heavily forested (state forest) with scattered lakes. Access is very limited. While I look out over many miles of lakeshore not one home or cabin is visible. Nearest lights are miles away. Rick -- Correct domain name is arvig and it is net not com. Prefix is correct. Third character is a zero rather than a capital "Oh". |
