Auriga
Penryn, California
October 2006/November 2009
FS-128 (ag, ST-4)
ST-2000XM LRGB 15 minute subs - additional lum added 2009

An emission nebula in Auriga located to the east of the magnitude 4
star 24-Auriga. Note the faint tendril of gas trailing to the lower
left from the main nebula. The open cluster of stars associated with
the nebula have the designation of St8 (Stock).

Yes, the Spider shooting its web tendril toward the nearby Fly. I took
this one a couple years ago with my old Gen 1 filters which gave horrid
halos about 24-Auriga. My processing skills weren't up to it either so
stars came out harsh. Know a lot more. If not for the halo problem I'd
redo the old data but probably should redo it from the start. Though a
quick application of the Hasta La Vista Green filter did wonders for the
halo problem which was mostly in green due to the color of the star.
This one needs H-alpha data. My pure LRGB didn't work very well until I
added the H-alpha.

Correct domain name is arvig and it is net not com. Prefix is correct.
Third character is a zero rather than a capital "Oh".
