ASTRO: First Light for an ML4022
I am working on a consulting project that required the purchase of a ccd
camera for some measurements. It needed to be a KAI4022 type sensor based on the specifications so we ended up purchasing an FLI ML4022 I decided to test the Microline on my AP180EDT: I just popped the Proline9000 off and put the Microline on and started shooting I took some Halpha in VdB142 and went to bed. I got about 2 hours of halpha. When I woke up it was a bit before 5 and was clear so I just aimed it at Orion and went inside to get ready for work here are the results after I shot flats this evening. I like the antiblooming feature for things like M42 Like all the KAI series, it is a bit low on QE on the red end but all in all it is a lot of fun to use the little camera. It sure is tiny compared to "normal" astrocams |
