Default ASTRO: Cacoon Nebula

Taken from a farm just south of Blueknob State Park on 1 Sept 2008.
Taken with an NP-127 at F/5.2. Three 20 minute
exposures using a Hutech modified Canon 40D at 100ASA.
Image is 50% reduction.

Nice image Robert. You have also captured quite a lot of the "dark lane"
that leads to IC 5146.

You keep making me revise my estimate of what objects are too faint for
a DSLR.

Images like this make me want to get a wide field set up going. I have
the parts but for a second camera. Since moving the camera is a pain
the way it is set up and I have a ton of things to image in narrow field
I just can't seem to get moving on wide field. Then a shot like this
comes along and I'm kicking myself. Can't seem to do so hard enough
however.

Rick

Correct domain name is arvig and it is net not com. Prefix is correct.
Third character is a zero rather than a capital "Oh".
