Intes MK-69 (6" f/6 Mak-Cass 900mm fl) Celestron CI-700 Mount w/Gemini QHY8 reduced 50% diffraction spike from Antares on left edge of image reprocessed with better flats and darks What I thought was an unwanted gradient on the left side of the image is actually part of the Antares Nebula, vdB 107. -- John N. I've learned to check the field with the POSS plates and Google Images to see if I have a gradient or something real. Before I did that I managed to completely remove a faint nebula thinking it a gradient. Rick -- Correct domain name is arvig and it is net not com. Prefix is correct. Third character is a zero rather than a capital "Oh". |
