Default ASTRO: NGC 3686

I took this image of NGC 3686 in Leo in February. The session was
interrupted by clouds several times, but the autoguider managed to keep the
guidestar, so I had enough data the next morning.

Taken from the middle of Berlin with an 8" SCT at f/6.5, G11 mount, SXV-H9
camera, 41x5 minutes.

The picture can also be found at

Still working on those old 8" images I see.

THat's a faint one for your location.

It is on my list but looks like it will not get imaged this year. I'm
about 40 objects backlogged now. My dark skies are vanishing rapidly
this time of the year. You have it even worse. Normally by now the ice
is off the lake or I it is so rotten it doesn't reflect much light to
brighten the sky. But with over a meter of new snow on it it is as
bright as ever and the insulation will delay ice out into May they are
predicting. That greatly limits how low to the west I can image.
Nearly all the great galaxy shots I had planned are quickly diving into
the glare.

Rick

Correct domain name is arvig and it is net not com. Prefix is correct.
Third character is a zero rather than a capital "Oh".
