That one fascinated me last year. That one arm comes out at right
angles to the core is very weird. Also a low surface brightness galaxy.
I wasn't all that adept at digging signals out of the noise when I did
it last June. I probably could do a better processing job on it today
but with a zillion that fall into that category I'm only working on
those that I really blew. I see I only had 30 minutes of luminosity
data to work with. It really needs 60. Can't recall now why.
Something must have cost me one or more 10 minute frames. If I didn't
have so many yet to take for the first time I'd go back and get more
data on it. It's in the Space Banter archive of this group at:

Correct domain name is arvig and it is net not com. Prefix is correct.
Third character is a zero rather than a capital "Oh".

Nice one John. Now that's a low surface brightness galaxy. There are some
interesting knots though - since they're so big I bet that they are H-II
regions.

John,

very nice image, this is one of my favourite objects. Now I would need dark
skies to get a good image of it.

I think I tried that guy once... but can't find any old data... I expect I
did not get much signal and gave up.. Very faint!
