John N. Gretchen III wrote: 9x900 seconds Intes MK-69 (6" f/6 Mak-Cass 900mm fl) Vixen Sphinx SXD Mount Sbig ST2000XCM ------------------------------------------------------------------------ That one fascinated me last year. That one arm comes out at right angles to the core is very weird. Also a low surface brightness galaxy. I wasn't all that adept at digging signals out of the noise when I did it last June. I probably could do a better processing job on it today but with a zillion that fall into that category I'm only working on those that I really blew. I see I only had 30 minutes of luminosity data to work with. It really needs 60. Can't recall now why. Something must have cost me one or more 10 minute frames. If I didn't have so many yet to take for the first time I'd go back and get more data on it. It's in the Space Banter archive of this group at: http://www.spacebanter.com/attachmen...ntid=971&stc=1 Rick -- Correct domain name is arvig and it is net not com. Prefix is correct. Third character is a zero rather than a capital "Oh". |

John,
very nice image, this is one of my favourite objects. Now I would need dark skies to get a good image of it. Stefan "George Normandin" schrieb im Newsbeitrag ... "John N. I think I tried that guy once... but can't find any old data... I expect I
did not get much signal and gave up.. Very faint! -- Regards, Doug W. www.photonsfate.com "John N. Gretchen III" wrote in message m... 9x900 seconds Intes MK-69 (6" f/6 Mak-Cass 900mm fl) Vixen Sphinx SXD Mount Sbig ST2000XCM -- John N. Gretchen III N5JNG NCS304 http://www.tisd.net/~jng3 |
