Default ASTRO: Old Aurora pic #1

Well, I've been too busy to process the deep sky image data I have, so
here's an old aurora shot from October 23rd, 2003.

The pic also shows the domes of Kopernik Observatory, which house (left to
right) a C-14, a Tinsley 12.5" DK Cass (now replaced with an Astro-Physics
6-inch F/12 APO), and an Optical Guidance Systems 20-inch RC Cass.

The local community college was conducting an astronomy lab that night, so
the students all had a great chance to see a bright aurora under a dark sky.

that's really nice

Man if it isn't the snow or the rain, it is the moon. And if it isn't the
moon is it the bitter cold. And when all that stuff finally sorts itself out
and you get a clear night with no moon and you get auroral activity...

Seems like someone is trying to tell you something up there, George :-)
