Default Holmes - single 25 sec exposure

Here is an interesting 17/P Holmes image of only 25 sec exposure with Canon
EOS 350D @ ISO 1600.
Taken on November 04, 2007, 22:37 UT.
Newton 200 /1000 mm (F/5), EQ6 Pro Synscan mount, tracking without guiding.
Greetings from Croatia!
Gordan

Gordan,

You and David C got comet images about the same time and both show the
bright nucleus. However, a few days later I was unable to see it in my 20x80
binoculars. Perhaps it was my sky conditions?

George,
yes, it could be your sky conditions. It seems to me that I have very
favorable conditions here in northern Croatia, the air seems to be very
clear (when it doesn't rain like now :-). Maybe the same is with David but
his exposures are generally about ten minutes (L,R,G,B together) and that
one of Nov 05 was total 72 minutes.
I am always surprised how easily I get the nucleus and a lot of stars in
such a short exposure time (remember that I got this image in only 25
secs!). It must be the good transparency. Thanks God! It looks promising
since I started with digital imaging only few months ago.
Many greetings,
Gordan

Gordan, et al:

I've seen other reports that the nucleus dimmed for a day or so, but is
now bright and obvious again. This comet is certainly full of surprises!
