ASTRO NGC 6781 (large download)
We finally had a clear night! Will wonders never cease. This is the
result. Sorry about the large download. The star field is so rich the blew up the file size something amazing and I used the lowest compression level I could without it looking awful. I didn't want to crop it as the star field is as interesting as the planetary. The whole upper left appears to behind a thin dust cloud, a thin dust lane comes in from the middle of the right edge and angles down. By the time you get to the southeast corner their the stars are really packed in. I put the nebula high to try and capture this star field. 14" LX200R @ f/10, L=4x10', RGB=2x10' all binned 2x2, STL-11000XM, Paramount ME Rick -- Correct domain name is arvig and it is net not com. Prefix is correct. Third character is a zero rather than a capital "Oh". |

Thanks for posting these pictures for all of us to enjoy, Rick (and others). Bob |
