ASTRO: more scopes from CSSP - AP refractor
Here is one more scope that impressed me at the Cherry Springs Star Party
last weekend. This is a 6-inch Astro-Physics refractor on a Losmandy G-11 mount. It's owner (an old friend) Joe B puts stickers from its journeys on the tripod legs. I didn't get a chance to look thru it, but I can use one of these any time. Note how flat the area is. This is an illusion. The park is on the flat top of one of the highest mountains in the area. You don't realize it when you are on the ground, except for the wind. George N |
