ASTRO: M33 Minor reprocess
I've been asked to post my M33. It was one of my very first digital images and I didn't really know what the heck I was doing nor did I have decent processing software. I did a bit of work on the TIFF from 2006 as the original data is only on back-up drives, one deep in the basement storeroom, the other at an off site location. So I just worked from the TIFFs for each of the 5 channels. R=2x10' plus 1x30' Ha blended using lighten mode and at about 60%. G and B=2x10'. L was 4x10' plus the same Ha also at about 60% in lighten mode. I'd do things differently today but would need new data as well. So this will have to do for now.

Rick,
my newsserver is down now for a number of days, so I'll try to answer via spacebanter.com: Actually your old M33 shows more detail than most "new" images I have seen. And you managed to include the Halpha data without making it too obvious. Stefan Quote:
