While driving to work this morning, local radio news reported that the
Phoenix landed on the North Pole of Mars....
sigh.

When the media gives the wrong information about a topic I know about,
it calls into question the accuracy of their reporting on topics that
I do not know about....

So why have you even been listening, since they said Columbia was
re-entering at 25 times the speed of light in 2003? :-)

Today's media just eats its own excrement, and regurgitates it. Very little
decent original content.

Well, it was 25 times the speed of the lights on the instrument panel
of the world land speed record holder
