Default New NASA mission to Jupiter

Dear Colleagues,

Recently NASA disseminated a press-release that they are preparing a
new mission New Frontiers - Juno to Jupiter. We have published in our
e-journal

http://selftrans.narod.ru/v5_1/juno/juno66.html

a notice with our considerations that can be of help, and think, both
this NASA press-release and our comment will be interesting for you.

Yours sincerely,

Sergey Karavashkin and Olga Karavashkina

The new NASA czar fired all of NASA senior management and installed
his own friends in their place. Michael Griffin's managerial style is
a helical table of command. His past managers admit to making no
sense of it at all.

What is a helical table of command. I thought that a TO had to be an
acyclic graph with no merges, i.e. except for the top node, every node
has on ly one dominating node.

Oops - wrong guy, right criticism,

Some critics had questioned Steidle's management style, which
organized the exploration programme into 'spirals' that few employees
understood. "It was producing nothing," says Chesson. "The system had
become an aim in itself."

Griffin is tainted for other reasons.

I would not dare to judge the relations and circumstances of NASA. I
can only say of this mission. The main guilt I see in the absolutely
ungrounded ruling theory whose predictions lie. Galileo already has
burn in the upper layers of Jupiter's atmosphere in the vapour of
methane and ammonia and this seemingly taught no one. They go on
stating that Jupiter consists of overcooled hydrogen.

To say truly, these petty intrigues are out of my interest, they are
usual at all organisations that have rich funding. I am interesting in
the crux. No one in NASA, and you too, will say, we need not to study
that planet deeper. But the cost of this project ($ 700 million are not
a couple of cents) anticipates maximal efficiency to recover the means.
Just so we showed few important points which, as we see, would be able
to make the mission effective, and we can point more, if the authors of
this project are interested in the efficiency and in cooperation.

Pity, but the understanding will come rather after us. We already told
in the NG of the continuous political pressure upon us and our
laboratory here in Ukraine. New President Yuschenko changed nothing and
even made the situation worse having opened the doors for unlimited
activity of criminals. Now the situation comes to its logical finish
and we can expect from day to day that the blood will be shed, in full
sense of this word. This will be the revenge of relativists for our
scientific results and the only possibility, as they think, to stop the
scientific development, since a direct persecution, robbery, blockade
of funding, of our internet access, hunger and so on, so on give them
no result. Their methods are the same that were developed against the
dissidents of 1960th in the USSR: to substitute the political pressure
by invented 'reasons' of everyday life. In particular, you can see a
loud Hodorkovsky cause in Russia as an example: no legacy, no right, no
morality - usual way here. ;-) Thus, Al, I still am involved in
discussions and working but have to say good-bye, as we have been
warned and do not know when in happens. I only ask you all, do not
neglect the aspects that I showed in the posts and papers, copy them to
your machines. This is of great importance for the scientific
development in true direction. Fantasies are beautiful, but do not live
long and easily are broken at the rocks of reality.

Best,

Sergey
