Where are the debunkers now? Hiding in their spider holes? Ha!

When will it be "naked eye visible," Rudolph?

CNN is going to broadcast a special program regarding the details of the
recent discovery, (tomorrow morning) on March 16, 2004, at 7:00 A.M.

The artist's renditions of "Planet_X" should be visible to your "naked
eye" if you watch CNN's broadcast!

No doubt, they will interview astronauts who have been there, eh, Rudy? The
same astronauts who painted these "artist's renditions?"

It will likely NOT be called "Planet_X" but more likely "Sedna". Unlike
your fictional Planet_X it isn't a "Zooming Zeta Zamboni", but an "Orbiting
Orb of Obscurity".

Guess you aren't going to stir up too much interest on this one, have you
however considered a run at Kook of the month? I hear they are accepting
candidates. (but you'll have to do much better than your latest trolls...
you're losing your touch.) I know, I know, Your motto of "I don't make this stuff up, I

Hello O':

Apparently, you didn't read the BBC article. Regarding its name...

"...if its planetary status is confirmed, it may be that astronomy's
governing body, the International Astronomical Union, will want to
reconsider this, to make it more consistent with the mythological names
of other planets." - BBC

In other words, they'll probably change the name, and name it after one
of the ancient mythological gods of antiquity...

(By the way, wasn't one of the ancient gods named Rudolphious_X?)

Unfortunately, however, it may take another 200 years to get a ruling
from the International Astronomical Union, so this issue probably won't
be settled in our life time.

There will always be (at least) two opposing camps regarding this issue.
Is Planet_X a 'real' planet, or is the unknown reality of its existence
something other than what our minds can conceive of?

If it is a planetoid, then we would have to concur that Pluto is not a
planet either, and we really only have 8 planets in our solar system, not 9.

If it is a real planet, then Quaor should actually be the 10th planet,
making Sedna the 11th planet, then making Planet_X the mythological 12th
planet which Sitchin and others have claimed it to be.

However, we should also consider, in ancient bygone days, the Moon and
Sun were also (but wrongly) considered to be planets, and if we were to
entertain that 'astrological' view, then the totality of observable
planets would be 14. Of course this would only stand until some
'Astronomy Geek' like O'Brother discovers a 15th planet.

And, beyond the Oort Cloud, an immense spherical cloud surrounding our
planetary system and extending approximately 3 light years, or about 30
trillion kilometers from the Sun (whose vast distance is considered the
edge of the Sun's orb of physical, gravitational, or dynamical
influence), could there possibly be a 16th, or 17th and 18th planet?

If they exist, do we have enough mythical gods to name them all?

"...the unknown reality of its existence...". Nice bafflegab.

If it is a planetoid, then we would have to concur that Pluto is not a
planet either, and we really only have 8 planets in our solar system, not

9.

Why? Pluto is substantially larger than Sedna. An arbitrary
line can be drawn, well, arbitrarily. What's to prevent the
IAU from making Pluto's size the cutoff?

[snip]

There are plenty. If we run out of Roman and Greek gods,
there are always the Egyptian. Run out of those? start
on the older Assyrian and Babylonian ones. Running low on
those? Get going on the native american, Incan, Mayan,
Polynesian, Japanese, Chinese, ....

When all else fails, India has over 300 million of them.

I think it was "Ridiculous_X" (or was it "Ludicrous_X"?) if memory serves

Wow! Nice segway out of reality and into fantasy. My congratulations,
you're improving!

If it is a planetoid, then we would have to concur that Pluto is not a
planet either, and we really only have 8 planets in our solar system, not 9.

The shells slip across the table, which one has the bean under it,
decisions, decisions...

If it is a real planet, then Quaor should actually be the 10th planet,
making Sedna the 11th planet, then making Planet_X the mythological 12th
planet which Sitchin and others have claimed it to be.

If planetoid, sedna, merghetroid or whatever name it ultimately gets is in
the OOrt cloud, I suspect it is too close to support the fantasy
six-thousand year cycle (Or was that 30-thousand year... Need to consult my sitchin to get that number
right)

However, we should also consider, in ancient bygone days, the Moon and
Sun were also (but wrongly) considered to be planets, and if we were to
entertain that 'astrological' view, then the totality of observable
planets would be 14. Of course this would only stand until some

Hmm, well pietro said the Sumerians knew all about the different planets
so would that imply that ten is the "Real Truth Number" based on his
August opinion?

Like numerology, if you keep shifting things around, changing the
delineations you can come up with infinite possibilities.

Depends upon whether you follow the Sumerians, Zetans or Trolls.

What number do the Trolls use?

Not Kuiper belt, but also not known by ancient civilizations either:
