.......
Well, allready saving here for another scope........

You are in *deep trouble*!! ....or at least your bank account is!

According to John Dobson, if a telescope is too big to move at all, it's
too big, and if you can just get it into your backyard, it's too small!

Ah well, the bigger the toy, the more the fun ;-)
At least, that's what they say LOL

...
Despite the fact that my images do not compare one bit with all the
others
here, I'll just keep on posting them ;-) Way to much fun to make and show
them ;-)

Menno,

Ya!! Keep posting! There's no such thing as a bad astro image, and this
is the "pictures astro" News Group, not the "Astro Imaging Contest" group.
I though your Venus/Pleiades images were great and at least you had the
clear skies to see them. Nothing but clouds and snow here.

George N

My thoughts too ... we all started with "simple" things, didn't we? ;-)

that must mean that my 18" is just the right size....
my corollary is "The scope should be as big as max capacity of the largest
mount you can move"

again my 18" is just about the right size: ap1200gto...

The first time I visited Palomar and saw the Hale 200" my thought was:
"Hey, I can fit one of these in my backyard!"

I was there as a kid right after it was commissioned in 1949. I
remember thinking a bit differently: "My mom would have a cow if that
was in our backyard." or something to that effect. She must have been
reading my mind as she said something about "No Way" though that was
more directed at my dad as he was having similar thoughts to mine.

Now realizing I'm taking photos of the same stuff it did blows my mind.
Ditto about having several computers more powerful than the room sized
one I used as a student at the university also seems impossible.

Correct domain name is arvig and it is net not com. Prefix is correct.
Third character is a zero rather than a capital "Oh".
