Default ASTRO: Jupiter, Io, and Ganymede

Hi -
Early Saturday eve 9pm EDT
Here is the great red spot, Ganymede, and Io. I was not early enough to
catch Io's shadow.

- take care - bright moon tonight! - Rod

Nice image Rod. I saw Jupiter 2 weeks ago and noticed the furrows in the
southern EQ belt area. Your image shows them well.

Thanks Joe - I just got some new toys this week to help me align this
scope and this was my first image after the tweaks(but somewhat rushed)
but my word, I never realized how sensitive these scopes are to
precision alignment.

Very good picture Rod.
What kind of collimation tool was it that you mentioned in your post to Joe?

that's a very good image. I have been looking at Jupiter the last couple of weeks, but it is
pretty low in the sky (I am at 52N).
