Hi -
Early Saturday eve 9pm EDT Here is the great red spot, Ganymede, and Io. I was not early enough to catch Io's shadow. Key Colony Beach, FL 12 SCT Meade at f10 NexImage Registax 90 sec at 15fps, 1/100 - take care - bright moon tonight! - Rod |

Nice image Rod. I saw Jupiter 2 weeks ago and noticed the furrows in the
southern EQ belt area. Your image shows them well. Joe "rod" wrote in message link.net... Hi - Early Saturday eve 9pm EDT Here is the great red spot, Ganymede, and Io. Thanks Joe - I just got some new toys this week to help me align this
scope and this was my first image after the tweaks(but somewhat rushed) but my word, I never realized how sensitive these scopes are to precision alignment. - Rod J McBride wrote: Nice image Rod. Very good picture Rod.
What kind of collimation tool was it that you mentioned in your post to Joe? Stefan "rod" schrieb im Newsbeitrag link.net... that's a very good image. I have been looking at Jupiter the last couple of weeks, but it is
pretty low in the sky (I am at 52N). -- Martijn (astro-at-pff-software.nl) 10" LX200, Coronado PST, William Optics Z80 EOS350D, ATK 16HRC www.xs4all.nl/~martlian |
