Fireball seen travelling N to S in southern Alberta at about 7:58 PM MST.
About 5 seconds in duration.

Even though shower activity drops off after the Quadrantids at the
beginning of January, the month remains one of the strongest for
sporadic meteors. I've always recorded a lot of fireballs in January,
and there have been many reports of major events around the world this
month.
