Thanks Richard,
I have discovered the focus problem and it has happened two nights in a row. The noes piece, by Moonlight, is a sloppy fit in the compression type drawtube, also Moonlight, and if the camera is not s supported and held square with the focuser you can turn one setscrew thus locking the camera not square with the light part. Very disappointing, two nights work may be lost! Richard Crisp wrote: I really like that John. Nice image! John N. Gretchen III N5JNG NCS304 http://www.tisd.net/~jng3 |

Gretchen III N5JNG NCS304 http://www.tisd.net/~jng3 I gave up on such attachment methods for that very reason. I use screw on threads and V groove attachment such that the set screws pull to the bottom of the V forcing everything square when tightened. Before I always had one side of the image a bit out of focus. I still do if collimation isn't dead on but that's another story. BTW, that is one too low for me. My seeing down there is horrid.
