If we could would cloning Von Braun be a good idea?

Going beyond the moral issues of wether its creating life would cloning von braun and other geniuses be a good idea? True they wouldnt grow up exactly how they had the first time but they could go to the best schools and environment to bring out the geniuses they were the first time. thoughts everyone? Two thoughts from me : 1. Why do you think those guys were so much better than experts that we have now ? Von Braun etc were pioneers, so their work has to be distinguishable. Now we have industry of science, where things are result of much more cooperative efforts. I wouldn't be surprised if Von Braun II would turn to be closer to the average or just one of many names in the field... 2. If you grow geniuses, what's to stop them from realising that they don't need you anymore ? Why would they bring fruits of their brain to the table for bad payment ? Wouldnt it be better to clone and restore the 40,000 lives that were taken by the V-2 at Mittlework, London and Amsterdam? 3. I think his interest is not in having company of 40.000 lost souls but having superior mental capacity... Regards, Branko |
