Default Neat Zond photo

Came across this shot on http://www.myspacemuseum.com/zond.htm
I'd never seen a photo showing the reflective thermal covering on the
Block D TLI stage- or whatever this is; it doesn't look quite right for
either the Proton/Zond or the Zond that rode on one of the four N-1
flights. Also, where are the Zond's solar panels?

Didn't Zond use fuel cells? It was unique
to Zond as all other Soyuz-based designs
use solar cells and batteries, as I recall.

No, the Zonds used solar panels- although different in design and
smaller than standard Soyuz panels (they became the basis for the ones
used on Soyuz 19 for the ASTP) The LOK Soyuz derivative for the Moon
landing project was going to use fuel cells.
