I am extremely disappointed in the CNN coverage of Mars. They went to
all the trouble to send a reporter and didn't use him. When the
pictures started coming in (2:30 AM EST) they literally ran away from
it! Oh no, grainy black and white images! Quick, back to the canned
science show we were showing!

Unbelievable! I'm beside myself. My tiny NASA TV feed on my computer
just doesn't cut it. Do they really think the people who were watching
"Next" would rather see it than live pictures from Mars? How stupid is
that? If you feel the same way please contact CNN, as I did, and
complain about their ridiculously sparse coverage.

Clear skies,
Greg

Yeah, I'm with you. I was kinda looking forward to this all day and
there's no decent coverage. Wish I had NASA TV on cable.. are they
showing anything? I bet I'm missing all the cool stuff.

Not the Fox news I get on DirecTV. They had the worst coverage as far
as I could tell. I never saw any live coverage at any of the critical
moments. Even MSNBC did better, showing parts of at least one press
conference. For some unknown reason CNN only aired the last press
conference of the night starting half way through. I never thought I'd
see the day MSNBC scooped CNN. Truly pitiful. Fortunately CNN
International covered the entire press conference without interruption.
Why do they dumb down the American CNN so much? Wait. Don't answer that.
