Default 9" Maksutovs?

In a forum recently, I noted someone posting an image taken with a 9" Mak.
However, the person didn't mention their brand. So I ask: what firms make
9" Maks and how do they compare?

Thanks,
Eric

Intes makes a nine-inch Mak? That's gotta be a heavy scope, considering the
thickness of the glass, and the cool down times must be murder !

Intes isn't making anything any more.

I beleive I read that they got out of the telescope business about 2 months
ago. Does anyone
know if that is really the case?

Thanks,

Mark pointed me in the right direction. Intes either does or did make a 9"
Mak called the MK-91. It weighed about 30 lbs and had a cooldown time of at
least 2 hours on average, plus they later added a cooldown fan so there must
have been issues with cooldown. I own a C9.25, which I find to be a good
scope in its own right, but I was thinking of switching to a 9" Mak.
However, the switchover wouldn't be an easy or inexpensive one as my mount
wouldn't handle the extra weight and my pocketbook wouldn't handle the
expenses.

Thanks again folks,
Eric

Mark D said Intes *Micro*, not Intes. A lot of the same people and
largely similar designs as I understand it, but a different company.

Anyway, I can't find a 9" Mak listed by Intes Micro, but I did see 8"
and 10" (and larger - up to 16"!) Mak-Cass and Mak-Newts.
