Oh well, at least NASA TV is still live. They sure have this EVA stuff down to a
well-choreographed act. Seems like it's improved a lot since they started ISS
assembly. That must be worth something, in ISS's defense...

They seem to be following the Russian example of training for EVAs
rather than training for specific tasks while EVA.

Only when presented with something new and unique, like the gap filler
problem. You'd better believe they trained for the specific tasks that were
planned ahead of time (e.g. the CMG replacement procedures).

Note that shuttle EVA's tend to be more planned because they're done within
days of launch.

On Mir or ISS, problems can crop up that require an EVA to fix. It's these
sorts of EVA's that you may not be able to plan out and train for in great
detail.
