Default Cygnus

My daughter sees a kite, not a swan. I agree.

The central asterism (also called the "Northern Cross") can certainly be
seen as a kite, but if you include all of the "wing" stars, then the kite
no longer works. Similar to the "teapot" in Sagittarius.

Bootes is a Kite complete with a tail to me and Sagittarius was a five
pointed star until I seen the steam coming out from the spout from a
different perspective.

Depends on the kite g.

(Use not recommended on the telescope field.)

Clear skies, and brisk, steady winds, Alan

Cygnus is a cross, in the city because the peripheral stars are
obliterated by light pollution.

Back when I was a kid, Orion's belt and sword along with eta made a nice
kite. The tail wound down to Canus Major, hooking over to Sirius, and
when I could see the entire tail, I knew the school year was about to
start. Sort of shows how late I was out...

I'm sorry, but it's *clearly* an ice cream cone :-)
